My shop is Crow Shea

Sat Sep 21, 2013 11:05 pm by Dawn Crow Shea

Hey everyone!

My shop is Crow Shea!

It started out by me learning to crochet so I could make my kids hats for the winter. THEN people noticed them and asked me to make them for their kids, and then strangers asked where my hats came from and I got a few orders that way! So I started my facebook page!

My Facebook Shop is http://www.facebook.com/crowshea

I have links to my Pinterest, Facebook page, Etsy shop, and Twitter in my profile, so CHECK ME OUT!!!! Just don't become a weirdo stalker... that's kind of creepy. Wink

I own MoonShadow Threads which isn't really around anymore... Well it is, but I am taking an extended break from it due to personal issues. BUT I plan on getting it back up and running soon. I did some crochet but I am mostly known for my Clay covered crochet hooks. You've probably seen them on Youtube's Bobwilson123 & Yolanda's crochet channels. One of my goals this winter is to become …

Do you workout at home or in a gym?

Post by Dawn Crow Shea on Sat Sep 14, 2013 9:40 pm

I've tried doing the at home thing when kids are in bed, but I felt so tired and unmotivated. No
My Husband is a personal trainer, so with that I get a free membership at his gym! So now that kids are in school, I head over after I drop them off in the morning, put the baby in the childcare and have a great workout! Very Happy☀

We have a few pieces of gym equipment at home but none I've been allowed to use with my back. Now that surgery is done and we're coming into summer I'm looking forward to getting back into swimming and kick boarding. I miss Zumba though :-(

I'd love to go to a gym, but I don't have a sitter during hours that they ones here are open, BOOOO! So I work out at home, with dance games, workout games, work out videos, and my elliptical. Some days when it's not so fishy smelling outside I'll head to the river and get a jog or walk in!

Lol! I've been a dancer since I was tiny, only stopped because of my back injury. I have the Zumba DVDs at home, so it didn't matter if I was out of time or looking absolutely ridiculous (and nothing like the sexy, toned dancers in the DVD!) because no one could see me ;-)

We have an elliptical at home, and I am using that to get back to where I need to be. I've discovered that watching crochet YouTube videos on my iPad makes the time go by so fast! I'm not staring at the clock ticking by, and I'm learning some new things. It is a win-win. Smile

I joined a gym almost a year ago and for the first 7 months I went one time... then in the mail I got a coupon for a friend to try for 45 days free, so I convinced the hubby to try it with me, we pay now for the three kids to go to the day care while we work out and then we swim together or play racket ball. They are supposed to upgrading this next summer with an outdoor pool and slides and stuff, but we make it a family time, four nights a week after dinner we go. We are still starting out and both severely overweight, but it is good motivation for the whole family to stay active...we are on our third month now and it is the best investment we have ever made!!
