Sat Sep 21, 2013 11:05 pm by Dawn Crow Shea

Hey everyone!

My shop is Crow Shea!

It started out by me learning to crochet so I could make my kids hats for the winter. THEN people noticed them and asked me to make them for their kids, and then strangers asked where my hats came from and I got a few orders that way! So I started my facebook page!

My Facebook Shop is https://www.facebook.com/crowshea

So, that's kind of why I chose that name.

My business is From Home, and I am pretty new to the game. I have fallen in love with the hobby, and it helps me contribute to our household, which is a bonus!

I have links to my Pinterest, Facebook page, Etsy shop, and Twitter in my profile, so CHECK ME OUT!!!! Just don't become a weirdo stalker... that's kind of creepy. Wink

I own MoonShadow Threads which isn't really around anymore... Well it is, but I am taking an extended break from it due to personal issues. BUT I plan on getting it back up and running soon. I did some crochet but I am mostly known for my Clay covered crochet hooks. You've probably seen them on Youtube's Bobwilson123 & Yolanda's crochet channels. One of my goals this winter is to become …

What a wonderful feeling. Met Michelle Vazquez at Walmart in the yarn aisle. Met later for coffee.

It was just by chance. Michelle had a skein of grey yarn and I asked if she had seen any lighter grey and we just started talking. I asked if she was on fb and if she belonged to any crochet groups. She says yes, HodgePodge Crochet. And from that moment on. I knew I had a friend. We talked for a while and then decided to meet later for coffee at a local coffee shop. We brought our WIP's and shared a lot of laughs.Well, 5 hours later we decided we had to get home. Our hubby's were probably worried.. We had a good time and plan to meet again and again. I also had my friend Deedee meet us there. We are 3 peas in a pod..

    Incredible!

I know there are Hodgers "near" me, and one that vacations near my house that I plan on meeting in October.
Gotta be careful up here in the northwoods as we are all vying for the SAME skein of yarn at the SAME Walmart..hahaha...truthfully, I would give up my skein to a fellow Hodger.Very Happy..

I love random stories that prove the "6 degrees of separation" theory! It reminds us that ONLINE relationships are alive and thriving entities, and we should always be mindful of our conduct..Ya just never know who you might meet. In the yarn aisle, of all places, we should represent our Hodge Podge love..lol..Just think if you would have never even struck up a convo?

    Super coolness !!

From now on I'm going to chat up every lady in the yarn aisle!! We need HodgePodge buttons, hahaha. That way we can all be identified when going on a yarn run! Smile

Aren't there some cute little pin-on buttons about the size of a bottle cap that you can insert whatever you like? Seems I saw them somewhere. I'll have to go peruse the internet... We could use Tanya's logo, I love those little birds. Maybe it could say, I'm a Hodger, are you?
