My shop is Crow Shea

Sat Sep 21, 2013 11:05 pm by Dawn Crow Shea

Hey everyone!

My shop is Crow Shea!

It started out by me learning to crochet so I could make my kids hats for the winter. THEN people noticed them and asked me to make them for their kids, and then strangers asked where my hats came from and I got a few orders that way! So I started my facebook page!

My Facebook Shop is https://www.facebook.com/crowshea

So, that's kind of why I chose that name.

My business is From Home, and I am pretty new to the game. I have fallen in love with the hobby, and it helps me contribute to our household, which is a bonus!

I have links to my Pinterest, Facebook page, Etsy shop, and Twitter in my profile, so CHECK ME OUT!!!! Just don't become a weirdo stalker... that's kind of creepy. Wink

I own MoonShadow Threads which isn't really around anymore... Well it is, but I am taking an extended break from it due to personal issues. BUT I plan on getting it back up and running soon. I did some crochet but I am mostly known for my Clay covered crochet hooks. You've probably seen them on Youtube's Bobwilson123 & Yolanda's crochet channels. One of my goals this winter is to become …

    • Huge blanket for my son (knit)

    • 2 TBBB's: One a gift for my photographer, and one an order (crocheted)

    • 3 dishrags in 3 different project bags, in 3 different locations (home, cabin, moms)

Now we will see if the list setting worked for me..lol

That is a wonderful idea, Charlotte! I'm working on a hat, scarf, and texting gloves for a friend, and will be sending them off to Maine by Friday. It is getting chilly up there! Smile

I am working on Preemie Pumpkin hats for "Boo in the NICU" from the pattern that Kimberlie Goodnough donated to our charity group. I also snagged some yellow yarn from a friend of my bf's mother, and have several Minions planned with that yarn using the same earflap design. My cousin just had a baby boy, so I plan on starting something for him as soon as my Aunt tells me what their theme is, and what fibers to use as her first born, who is 2 now, has some allergy issues. This blankie will probably sport the Baby's Best Bumpy format!

Thanks Rebecca! I'm trying to branch out and make some different types of things, so I've been on the lookout for neat looking embellishments.

I found some of the neatest embellishments at Hobby Lobby a couple of weeks ago. They had all their "Spare Parts" line 40% off, and I got some really pretty satin flowers with pearl centers. I always look at them and think, I could make these! But I never do lol, so this time I bought some! They had those neat little rolls of ribbon for .99, and they had every color burlap you can think of Smile I could get into a lot of trouble with that stuff! :-D

Eek! We don't have a hobby lobby near here, but they do by my mom's house and we are heading that way next weekend. I love some delish embellishments! I always think that about the flowers too, but to be honest I don't have the time or energy to make them and with a coupon you can get them for less than it would cost to buy the supplies. Burlap is huge right now!! Our walmart had some different colors and even a few chevron prints. They are on my list Smile

WIP pics are a must. lol

The minion hat is adorable. The knit hat is lovely. The flower on it is fabulous. The TBBBB(?) needs a shorter name. lmao

How many WIPs do y'all have floating around? I have a couple because I'm waiting for perfect buttons or more yarn to make sets with. I made my first cowl and attempted a hat to match. Sad part: the hat fits my toddler and child rather than an adult (I followed the pattern. :/ ) I made a scarf/cowl but the tie needs a great button.

A WIP I'm finishing up now includes these tiny little boots.

EDIT: It's done and posted to FB.
