My shop is Crow Shea

Sat Sep 21, 2013 11:05 pm by Dawn Crow Shea

Hey everyone!

My shop is Crow Shea!

It started out by me learning to crochet so I could make my kids hats for the winter. THEN people noticed them and asked me to make them for their kids, and then strangers asked where my hats came from and I got a few orders that way! So I started my facebook page!

My Facebook Shop is https://www.facebook.com/crowshea

My business is From Home, and I am pretty new to the game. I have fallen in love with the hobby, and it helps me contribute to our household, which is a bonus!

I have links to my Pinterest, Facebook page, Etsy shop, and Twitter in my profile, so CHECK ME OUT!!!! Just don't become a weirdo stalker... that's kind of creepy. Wink

I own MoonShadow Threads which isn't really around anymore... Well it is, but I am taking an extended break from it due to personal issues. BUT I plan on getting it back up and running soon. I did some crochet but I am mostly known for my Clay covered crochet hooks. You've probably seen them on Youtube's Bobwilson123 & Yolanda's crochet channels. One of my goals this winter is to become …

I know I'm being overly ambitious, but here are a few things I would like to make for Christmas:

    Diapers & Wipes for Dolls
    Trash Stashers (for your vehicle)
    Fabric Scrap Matching Game
    Coiled Fabric Bowl
    Poncho

I'm sure there are more I'll add to this. The poncho is probably the fastest to make on the list, but oh my goodness, the diapers and wipes are so cute, and I would love to have a cute trash can thingamajig in my car, instead of a random plastic bag, and I know my mom, sister, and SIL would, too. Smile

The trash holder is on my list of things to do! I really want to make on that is lined with the newborn material that you can wipe incase anything gets spilled, but I'm waiting to find a print or solid that I like Smile I have seen so many great ideas I can't decide!

I have some iron-on vinyl, but I haven't had a chance to try it yet. I was thinking about making some reusable snack bags with it. Is that the same idea for what you're looking for? That way, you could use any fabric you want?

I didn't even think of/have never heard of iron on vinyl. Can you send me a link to it so I can check it out? Pretty please lol. The stuff I have been seeing is with the "baby" type sewing fabrics and is suggested for changing pads and bibs, etc. I've seen it with little monkeys or ducks and then in pastels but I want something cool and modern.

This Iron-on Vinyl is from Joann's. I bought mine through fabric.com, but it looks like the same thing. It's also available through Amazon, and many other places, I'm sure. I've also seen it available in a matte finish.

I think it would be fun to make all our Stockings... we have store bought ones, but how fun would it be for each person to have their own personalized stocking, with iron on letters maybe or puff paints even... It's a bit ambitious since I'm still learning to sew, but if I can sew a skirt with three ruffled panels for a 8 year old, I can figure out a stocking! :-D

Stockings!! I am seriously considering making us those cute burlap stockings and then doing each of our names embroidered on the top with a coordinating fabric. I also want to make a shabby ruffle tree skirt...but I can't decide what colors.
